Humidity On The Rise: Yorktown's Work Week Weather

SOMERS, NY — The work week starts off picture perfect in the Hudson Valley with sun mixing with clouds and low humidity. However, humidity will be on the rise for the rest of the week with scattered showers and chances of thunderstorms pretty much every day.

“We’re tracking an area of disturbance well off to our west,” said Hudson Valley Weather’s Bill Potter. “We may see some showers and thundershowers early on Tuesday, primarily focused in the Catskills and northern HV. Then we’ll have to watch for afternoon T-Storms in the mid and lower HV.”

Temperture-wise, the northeast won’t be sweltering this week as much as the mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley, said AccuWeather Senior Jim Andrews.

“Toward the north, there will be no lasting heat, and residents will be dodging thunderstorms,” he said, adding that any thunderstorm can turn severe and produce drenching downpours.
