Hypnosis Session at Yorktown Town Hall to Help People Lose Weight or Quit Smoking
Stuart Green's hypnosis session for losing weight and quitting smoking is at Town Hall on Friday, Feb. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Yorktown supervisor Michael Grace is co-sponsoring a hypnosis session this Friday to help people lose weight or quit smoking.
Stuart Green, a hypnotherapist who was trained and certified at the New York Institute for Hypnotherapy, will be conducting the seminar on Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the board room in Town Hall.
"The idea is to get everybody who smokes to participate, if they want," said Grace, who is himself a smoker and has participated in the hypnosis before. "I needed to do it for myself."

He said some people might experience the results for the next six to eight months, while for others the results would be "forever."
Grace said Green would be holding the session at Town Hall at no cost to the town and without paying rent for the space. Green is charging $50 per person for the session.

Grace said the event will be held at Town Hall because of the number of employees who work at Town Hall and smoke. The seminar is open to anyone in the community who is interested.
Those interested in attending the seminar can call Grace's assistant Mary Capoccia (at 914-962-5722 ext. 200) ahead of time or they can show up to the seminar since no pre-registration is needed.
