Yorktown Democratic Committee Endorses Jann Mirchandani for Town Supervisor Candidate for April 16th Special Election

Yorktown, N.Y.—The Yorktown Democratic Committee (YDC) voted at their nominating meeting to unanimously endorse Jann Mirchandani for the special Town Supervisor election on April 16th to replace the recently deceased Tom Diana.

“While we are saddened by Tom’s passing, we must now move forward with the special election and are thrilled to rally behind the exceptional candidacy of Jann Mirchandani. Jann brings decades of experience as a local business owner; she is a creative thinker with a robust record of community service and leadership. Jann has earned a reputation for being responsive and she will work hard to keep Yorktown moving forward in the coming years, said Marni Rabin-Marron, Yorktown Democratic Committee Co-Chair.

“The issues that motivated me to run last year haven’t changed,” said Mirchandani. “Accountability, fiscal responsibility, and quality-of-life issues such as roads and sewers were the driving force of the campaign last year, and it resonated with 46% of the voters.”

YDC Co-Chair Mark A. Lieberman said: “Jann clearly has the management, planning, and financial skills required to get Yorktown back on track. Yorktown needs someone like Jann who can not only manage the current needs of the residents and businesses but can also do the long-range infrastructure planning that has been kicked down the road for years. Jann will bring a new, independent voice to the Town Board with high energy and fresh ideas.”
