Jefferson Valley Mall Launches Big Renovation Project

Entrances and the Food Court are targeted specially, also lighting, seating and bathroom renovations—and some new retail.

The Jefferson Valley Mall is launching a significant renovation program.

The project is scheduled to be completed during 2017.

“Jefferson Valley Mall is excited announce the kick-off of this development project. We have been a staple in this community for more than 30 years and this investment by WP Glimcher signifies our vision for continued success,” Roberto Luciano, mall manager at Jefferson Valley Mall, said in a prepared statement. “Further, we appreciate the continued support of the Town of Yorktown as this much-anticipated project comes to fruition.”

The mall will remain open during construction with minimal interference for shoppers.

“Jefferson Valley Mall has had a strong presence in the evolution of the Town of Yorktown for many years,” said Supervisor Michael Grace of Yorktown. “The mall continues to be a valued community resource as an economic engine, providing jobs, sales tax revenue and adding to the quality of life for our residents.”

Among the changes: contemporary updates such as new exterior mall entrances, a transformed Food Court and interior cosmetic upgrades; new bathrooms including a family restroom and nursing room; new carpeting and seating.

New stores will be coming in, too.

Popular stores at currently at the JV Mall include The Children’s Place, Express, Forever 21, H&M, Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret and Zale’s The Diamond Store.
