Local Artist's Lyrical Works Featured at Somerfields Restaurant

Paintings by Southeast artist Vivian Haberfeld are being showcased through Labor Day at Somerfields Restaurant.

The show, entitled “Search for Tranquility” and featuring 25 works in acrylic on canvas, reflects Haberfeld’s ongoing search.

According to the artist, she was deeply moved by the natural landscape and gentle beauty of the Mid-Hudson Valley when she moved north from Manhattan. She began a search for a way to get closer to nature. Through that highly personal and emotional process, she discovered the artist within herself. It is a sentimental journey that continues to motivate her work as a painter.
