Look for Dogs in Costume at the Yorktown Fall Festival and Street Fair this Sunday

Members of the Yorktown Community Dog Park will parade in costume and create a temporary mini-park.

The Town of Yorktown and the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 6th Annual Yorktown Fall Street Festival and Fair Oct. 12.

The Festival will run from 11AM to 5PM. Weather permitting, 15-20,000 people are expected to attend. The Festival is rain or shine.

One of the new activities and events will be provided by the members of the Yorktown Community Dog Park and their faithful hound companions.

Members have been asked by the Yorktown Chamber to create a temporary mini park in order to showcase their dogs as part of a parade.

With Halloween just weeks away, dog owners who participate in this parade will have their dogs wear costumes.

During the course of the day, there will also be demonstrations from area dog behavior schools and local animal control officers.
