Mahopac High School Video Earns Place in White House Film Festival

A video produced by Mahopac High School students stood out above more than 2,500 entries in the first-ever White House Student Film Festival, earning a place on the White House website.

The festival invited K-12 students across the country to create short films about the role technology plays in their classrooms. Students were also asked to discuss how technology will change educational experiences in the future.

Mahopac’s three minute long submission titled, “Classroom Technology: Then and Now” was created by students in the school’s Video Production and Advanced Recording classes taught by Stas Przymylski. The video featured a trip through time as students examined different types of classroom technology throughout the ages.

"I'm so proud of my class for their hard work," said Przymylski. "This group effort really paid off."
