Mahopac Man Arrested Interfering With EMS: Police
First responders were trying to attend to a person who was unconscious.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mahopac resident was arrested after trying to interfere with first responders who were helping someone who was unconscious. Yorktown police said Michael C. Mallon, 28, of Ryan Court in Mahopac, was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
Around 12:47 p.m. Aug. 7, Yorktown police officers, along with Lake Mohegan Fire Department and Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps personnel, responded to the Macy’s parking lot for a report of an unconscious person.
While they were treating the person, police said Mallon started interfering with the first responders while they were employing life-saving procedures.

Officers attempted to arrest Mallon, but he began struggling with the officers and had to be physically subdued, police said.
He was eventually arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters.

Mallon was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and released on $500 bail.
He is scheduled to return to court Aug. 28.
