Man Accused Of DWI After Crashing Into Tree

The was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries after being arrested.

YORKTOWN, NY — A southern Westchester County man was accused of drunken driving in Yorktown after he crashed his car into a tree. Yorktown police said Juan Montilla, 49, of Yonkers, was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor.

Police said they received report of a car striking a tree around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.

The investigation found that Montilla was driving while drunk.

He was arrested and taken by ambulance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

After being released from the hospital, Montilla was taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

He was issued a uniform traffic ticket and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.

Montilla is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 6.
