Man Accused Of Shoplifting At Macy's
Police said the incident occurred at the Jefferson Valley Mall.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 75-year-old man was accused of shoplifting from Macy's. Yorktown police charged John Herroder, 75, of Yorktown, was charged with petit larceny.
Police said they responded, around 3:40 p.m. March 11, to Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall for a report of a shoplifter in custody.
When officers arrived, they met with a store's loss prevention representative and found that Herroder stole an item of clothing valued at $14.

He was taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.
Herroder was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
