Man Charged in Power-Tool Theft Also Sought in Earlier Sears Theft

Police allege a Yonkers resident stole 6 Dyson vacuum cleaners 2 weeks before returning to Sears to shoplift power tools.

Yorktown police report that James J. Damico of Yonkers, who was stopped outside of Sears July 14 and charged with shoplifting power tools and clothing, is also charged in connection with a shoplifting incident July 1.

According to police, an unidentified man had fled Sears July 1 with six Dyson vacuum cleaners valued at $3,399.94. Officers searched around the JV Mall but did not find anyone matching the man’s description.
