Man Drives While License Suspended For Not Paying Child Support

Police said his car was not registered or insured as well.

YORKTOWN, NY — An Ossining man whose license was suspended for failing to pay child support was arrested in Yorktown. Police said John L. Goodyear II, 56, of High View Road in Ossining, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and inadequate brake lights, traffic infractions.

Around 4:50 p.m July 2, an officer on routine patrol saw a vehicle that allegedly had inadequate brake lights and pulled it over.

A computer check of Goodyear found he was operating the vehicle while his privilege to drive in New York was suspended for not paying child support.

Additionally, the vehicle had a expired inspection sticker and was neither registered or insured.

Goodyear was taken to police headquarters for processing.

He was released on his own recognizace and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 2.
