Man Killed In Head-on Crash Monday ID'd

The early morning accident close Route 202 for four hours.

YORKTOWN, NY — The name of the man killed in an early morning crash Monday on Route 202 in Yorktown has been released. New York National Guard Pfc. Carl Bradford, 28, a Pennsylvania resident, died after his car crossed the double yellow line and struck a pick-up truck head-on shortly before 7 a.m.

Bradford was a motor vehicle transport operator based at the Camp Smith Training Site in Cortlandt Manor, the Journal News said.

The crash, which occurred near 3655 Crompond Rd., closed Route 202 for more than four hours.
