Mohegan Lake Woman Arrested For Drunken Driving: Police

Police said she was seen crossing the double yellow line and other traffic infractions.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 22-year-old Mohegan Lake woman was arrested for allegedly driving drunk. Yorktown Police said Rosemond G. Herelle, 22, of Helena Avenue, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with 0.08 percent of more blood alcohol content, misdemeanors, and crossing the double yellow line, failing to signal turn and driving on the shoulder, traffic infractions.

Police said that around 12:49 a.m. March 18, a sergeant, while on routine patrol on Lexington Avenue, saw Herelle’s vehicle crossing the yellow line, not using a turn signal and driving on the shoulder.

She was stopped and, police said, they found Herelle was driving her car while drunk with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

She was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

Herelle was released to a responsible party on $100 bail and is due to return to Yorktown Justice Court April 5.
