Mount Vernon Man Accused Of Stealing From Macy's

While three people were working together to steal the merchandise, he was caught with it, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mount Vernon man was arrested for stealing merchandise from Macy’s at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Police said Christopher Jason Guy, 29, of Wallace Avenue in Mount Vernon, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Police said around 8 p.m. Jan. 24 they responded to a larceny complaint at Macy’s. They said three people, working together, stole assorted merchandise totaling $1,109.26.

An investigation found Guy was in possession of the merchandise while at the A Plus Sunoco, located at 3650 Lee Rd.

Guy appeared voluntarily at police headquarters around 6 p.m. Jan. 30 and was placed under arrest.

After processing, his bail was set at $5,000 bail or $7,500 bond.

He was sent to the Westchester County Jail and is scheduled to return to Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 6.
