Much Needed Moisture: Work Week Weather for Somers

YORKTOWN, NY — The work week will start and end with plenty of sunshine, and by midweek temperatures will again be above average for the end of November.

"But the real story for this week," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather, "appears to be the anticipation of some substantial rainfall between Tuesday and Wednesday."

The region could get two inches of rain from two waves of low pressure at midweek, he said, "Welcome news for an area that has been moisture starved all year."

Meanwhile, temps in New York City could hit 60 degrees.

Rain in the morning...then rain with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Widespread fog. Rain may be heavy at times in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
