Paintball Store Burglars Were 9 and 11: Yorktown Police

The 9-year-old broke into the Crazy Paint twice in one evening, police say.

A burglar alarm at the Crazy Paint paintball store on Route 6 called Yorktown police to Mohegan Lake at 7:30 p.m. May 20.

They found signs of forced entry. The owner was called, and came to make the store secure.

Ninety minutes later, the burglar alarm went off again. Police found new signs of forced entry.

After an investigation, detectives arrested two local boys, one 9 and the other 11. Both participated in one of the break-ins, police said—but only the 9-year-old is alleged to have broken in both times.

Police didn’t say whether the 11-year-old gave up after one go or was brought in to assist the second time.
