
Yorktown police were called to the Courtesy Shell Station on East Main Street at 12:25 a.m. March 22 about a man drinking a beer in the parking lot.
Police allege that when officers arrived, the guy took off -- jaywalking across Route 6.
The 27-year-old Lake Peekskill resident was charged with two violations -- possession of an open container of alcohol in a public place, which is a violation of town law; and jaywalking, which is a violation of state law.
