Peekskill Man Arrested In Yorktown For Stealing Car That Crashed
Police also said he was driving drunk and didn't have a license.

YORKTOWN, NY — A stolen car that was in a rollover crash led to the arrest of a Peekskill man. Yorktown police said they responded to a rollover accident around 8:08 a.m. Jan. 7 on Route 100.
A joint investigation by Yorktown and Ossining police found Hector Aranda-Sanchez, 24, of Freemont Avenue in Peekskill, to be in possession of a stolen vehicle from Ossining.
Police said Aranda-Sanchez was driving while drunk, with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.

It was also determined that he did not have a driver's license.
Aranda-Sanchez was taken into custody by the Ossining police for the alleged vehicle theft.

Around 11:30 a.m. Jan. 30, Yorktown police arrested Aranda-Sanchez in the Town of Ossining Court House and charged him with the following:
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony
- Aggravated DWI 0.18 percent or more blood alcohol content, a misdemeanor
- Driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor
- Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a traffic infraction
He was taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing and was released on his own recognizance.
Aranda-Sanchez is due back in Yorktown Court Feb. 8.
