Police Arrest 2 for Illegally Possessing Marijuana in Yorktown
The pair was arrested after a traffic stop.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two area residents were arrested by Yorktown police for illegally having marijuana.
Police said Ruth A. Stein, 20, of Mahopac, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Alexander T. Delic, 20, of Yorktown, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
On Jan. 20 around 6:40 p.m., an officer on routine patrol on London Road saw a vehicle being operated with an obstructed view and made a traffic stop.

Police said Delic was smoking a marijuana pipe and had 4 grams of concentrated cannabis and 4.5 grams of marijuana.
Stein had 2 grams of concentrated cannabis, police said.

The pair was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
They were processed and released on their own recognizaance.
Stein and Delic are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 23 for arraignment.
