Police ID Victim in Sunday's Fatal Somers Crash
Two town residents on Route 202 collided head-on.

Clint R. Herbert of Somers died in a head-on collision on Route 202 Friday evening.
New York State Police from the Somers barracks were dispatched at 9:01 p.m. to investigate a two-car head-on auto collision on State Route 202.
Investigators concluded that a 2008 Toyota pick-up truck operated by Herbert, 42, was traveling eastbound on State Route 202. A 2013 Ford Explorer, operated by Michele McIsaac, 62, of Baldwin Place was westbound.
Herbert failed to maintain his designated lane of travel and entered the westbound lane striking the Ford head-on, police said.
He was transported to Putnam Hospital and pronounced deceased. McIsaac was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash was reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit. It remains under investigation; it does not appear that alcohol or drug contributed to the cause of the crash.
