Police Said Yorktown Man Violated Protection Order

He surrendered himself after being contacted by police.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of violating an order of protection. Yorktown police said Thomas Maletto, 52, of Yorktown, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt, misdemeanors.

The Yorktown Police Department received a report Sept. 12 about a violation of a temporary order of protection.

An investigation alleges Maletto emailed the person who was under the protection order.

Maletto was contacted by police and surrendered himself at police headquarters Oct. 8 where he was arrested and charged.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 1.
