Police Say Bronx Man Used Cocaine In Parked Car

The man now faces a couple of felony drug charges.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx man was accused of having illegal drugs after police spotted him sitting in a parked car. Yorktown police charged Dennis Delosangeles, 26, of the Bronx, with fourth- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police said that, around 11:40 a.m. Feb. 18, an officer said he spotted suspicious activity by Delosangeles who was sitting in a parked vehicle.

The officer said the man was using cocaine while in the car.

An investigation found Delosangeles had in his possession alprazolam (Xanax) pills, endocet pills, MDMA pills, tabs of acid and about 21.5 grams of marijuana, police said.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

Delosangeles was arraigned and sent to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections on $5,000 bail or bond.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 21.
