Police Say Woman Allowed Dog To Run Loose

A dog was bitten while the other dog was running around off leash.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown Heights woman was accused of letting her dog run loose and allowing it to bite another dog. Police said Heide Sullivan, 52, of Yorktown Heights was charged with "allow dog to run at large," a town code violation.

Police said, around 2 p.m. April 4, a resident of Cherry Road came into police headquarters to report that two days earlier her dog was attacked and bitten by another dog while walking on Hedwig Drive.

A community service worker was assigned to the case and found that a brown and black Rottweiler-Basset Hound mix, owned by Sullivan, was running loose and bit the other dog.
