Polly Cooper, NSDAR Hosts Genealogy Workshop for Community

Shrub Oak, New York – The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR hosted a free public genealogy workshop at the John C. Hart Memorial Library on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Led by Kari Kjontvedt Weis, DAR National Vice Chair, Volunteer Genealogists: Genealogy Education Development and Polly Cooper member, participants learned how to document their lineage and how to share information with family and friends. Participants also learned of the extensive resources to consult in their genealogical research efforts.

Ms. Kjontvedt Weis presented a
comprehensive, step-by-step guide to help navigate the process of researching a family tree to help equip the participants with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully trace their lineage
