Ponding, Slippery Roads Mean Delays for Yorktown, Somers Commuters: National Weather Service
The NWS issued a Special Weather Statement that covers northern Westchester.

YORKTOWN, NY — Because fallen leaves may slow drainage during heavy rain and cause dangerous road conditions, the National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement for northern Westchester for Tuesday:
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE REGION THIS
AFTERNOON. POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL SEE SIGNIFICANT PONDING TAKE
PLACE WHICH MAY BE EXACERBATED BY LEAVES CLOGGING THE DRAINS.
EXPECT TRAVEL DELAYS FROM THE PONDING ON AREA ROADS AND BE
CAREFUL OF HYDROPLANING.
