Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Burglary, Stealing Pills
Police said the man had entered the victim's apartment on three separate occasions to steal prescription medications.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of burglarizing a Yorktown apartment and stealing prescription drugs. Yorktown police said Joshua Mintz, 33, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 9 a.m. April 28, a call was received from a resident of Beaver Ridge Apartments in Yorktown Heights regarding a suspicious incident.
An officer met with the man and found that prescription pills were stolen from his apartment.

Police also said that Mintz had entered the man's home on three separate occasions intending to steal prescription medications.
Mintz was located April 29, arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was found to be in possession of a quantity of oxycodone pills, police said.

He was arraigned and sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
Mintz is due back in Yorktown Justice Court May 2.
