Power Update: Thousands Waiting For Electricity Saturday Night

Con Ed and O&R websites were down for maintenance most of Saturday.

Power restoration continued in the Hudson Valley Saturday in the wake of two massive and destructive nor’easters. Con Edison said that about 4,500 customers in New York City and Westchester County are without power. The great majority are in Westchester, which took a huge hit from both storms. That number is down from about 6,500 Saturday morning.

Con Edison’s website was down Saturday so the outage map was unavailable. O&R uses the same system and was also unavailable.

O&R said in a press release that there are 8,500 customers as of Saturday afternoon without power.
