Putnam Man Arrested For Drunken Driving

He said he also had an open container of alcohol in his car.

YORKTOWN, NY — Police arrested a Putnam County man for driving while drunk. Yorktown police charged Brian D. Grill, 21, of Carmel, with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent of more, misdemeanors, and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and inoperable headlight, traffic infractions.

Police said, around 1:10 a.m. Nov. 2, an officer on routine patrol saw a vehicle which he said had one inoperable headlight and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop.

Grill was identified as the driver and further investigation found he was driving while intoxicated with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, police said.

He also was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, police said.

Grill was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

After processing, he was released on $100 bail to a responsible party and is next scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 15.
