Putnam Man Faces Indecent Conduct Charge: Police

Police said he was in view of others on a public street.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam County man was accused of urinating in public. Yorktown police said John Vandeveerdonk, 25, of Putnam Valley, was charged with indecent or vulgar conduct, a town code violation.

Police said that, shortly before noon Aug. 23, officers responded to a town code violation in Yorktown.

The investigation found that Vandeveerdonk urinated while in view of others on a public street, police said.

He was served a criminal summons Friday for the charge and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 13.
