Putnam Woman Accused Of Leaving Accident Scene
Police said the woman voluntarily returned to the accident scene.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam Valley woman was accused of hitting a pedestrian with her car and leaving the scene of the accident. Yorktown police said Erin Caitlin White, 28, of Putnam Valley, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a misdemeanor.
Around 6 p.m. Thursday, an officer was sent to Lexington Avenue where a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
The pedestrian was taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries that appeared not to be life threatening.

White voluntarily returned to the scene as the investigation was being conducted.
Police said she hit the pedestrian and then took off before police arrived.

White was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
She was released on her own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 23.
