Queens Man Accused Of Breaking Car Window, Stealing Cash
Police said he followed his victim from a bank and then broke into his car.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Queens man was accused of breaking into a car and stealing money after following his victim from a bank. Yorktown police said Juan Guzman Moreno, 34, of Flushing, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Police said that, around 2:40 p.m. March 12, the department responded to a parking lot at 3535 Hill Boulevard in Yorktown to investigate a broken car window and the theft of money from the car.
Detectives said they were able to identify Moreno as the suspect, and on March 25, information was relayed to the state police and the Croton police that he was in their jurisdiction.

The state police located and detained Moreno.
Yorktown police said their investigation found that he followed the victim from a nearby bank, and when the victim got out of his car and went into a building, Moreno broke the man's car window and stole $1,700 in cash.

Moreno was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
He was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and held on $10,000 bail.
Moreno was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in court March 26.
