Scofflaw Drivers Arrested In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Yonkers men pulled them over in unrelated incidents in Yorktown face the same charge: unlawful operation of a motor vehicle.
On Sept. 20, Michael C. Obiekwe, 48, was charged with third degree unlawful operation and driving with a suspended registration, both misdemeanors. Police said his driver's license was suspended because of lapsed insurance and his car registration was suspended because of parking violations. Unable to post bail, he was sent to Westchester County Jail. He is due back in town court Oct. 10.
On Sept. 21, Christopher Harvey, 31, was charged with second-degree unlawful operation, a misdemeanor, an inoperable tail light, an infraction. His driving privileges had been suspended for failure to pay fines and failure to answer summonses, police said. He was released on $250 bail and is due in town court Oct. 24.
