Severe Storm Threat in Yorktown: Weekend Weather
The NWS has issued a Hazardous Outlook for Somers and the region. But good things come to those who wait, and we tell you when.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
Not for Friday — but for Saturday. The NWS says there's a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into the evening as a storm line at the head of a low front comes through from west to east. But the main threat, says the NWS, are "locally damaging straight line winds."
But: refreshing air to follow, says AccuWeather. Humidity levels will begin to drop as the front moves in.

"Behind the storm on Saturday, some of the most comfortable weather of the summer will move in through early next week," AccuWeather Meteorologist Ryan Adamson said. "Low humidity levels will make for pleasantly warm days and comfortable nights for sleeping."
