Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Rockland, Westchester Thursday

Damage to trees and power lines can be expected.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Rockland and Westchester counties. The warning is in effect until 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service said that at 6:44 p.m. showers and thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds were located along a line extending from near Yorktown Heights to near Upper Nyack to near Nanuet, moving east at 50 mph.

Damage to trees and power lines can be expected.
