Shoplifter Arrested In Yorktown Heights
Police said the merchandise was taken from Toys R Us.

YORKTOWN, NY — A shoplifter was arrested after concealing merchandise under his coat, Yorktown Police said. Harold Derek Kaupp, 48, of Jerome Drive in Cortlandt Manor, was charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession stolen property, misdemeanors.
Police said they got a call from an employee of Toys R Us at 621 Bank Rd. in Jefferson Valley around 4:44 p.m. March 28 about a past occurance of theft.
An investigation found that Kaupp stole merchandise valued $21.98 which was concealed inside his jacket.

He was located at AC Moore at 333 Crompond Rd. where, police said, he had the stolen merchandise.
Kaupp was charged and released on $250 bail.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court May 1.
