Sleepy Hollow Man Arrested For Driving Without License, Using Cell Phone: Police
Police said his privilege to drive in New York had been suspended.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Sleepy Hollow man was arrested for using a cell phone while driving without a license. Yorktown Police said Samuel Barbuto, 53, of Beekman Avenue in Sleepy Hollow, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and unlicensed operation and operating motor vehicle while using a cell phone, traffic violations.
On July 5, around 11:10 a.m., a police officer on patrol spotted a gray Ford traveling east on Route 6 with the operator allegedly using a cell phone.

A computer check at the scene found he was allegedly unlicensed with his privilege to drive in New York suspended.
Barbuto was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was issued traffic summons and released on $200 bail.

He is scheduled to answer the charges in Yorktown Court August 3.
