Snow Predicted After Roller Coaster: Somers' Work Week Weather

YORKTOWN, NY — Welcome to another roller-coaster week, this one with a possibility of snow at the end. We'll zoom up the thermometer on Tuesday, close to 10 degrees above normal. Then we plummet.

We'll see some rainfall Tuesday-Wednesday (which we can use).

By Friday, a low-pressure system should be coming up the East Coast, and it could bring snow.

Here's what the National Weather Service says for the work week in northern Westchester:

• Today-Patchy fog late this morning. Mostly sunny. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times late this morning. Highs in the upper 40s. East winds around 5 mph, becoming southeast around 5 mph this afternoon.
• Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 30s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Tuesday-Cloudy. A chance of showers in the morning, then showers likely in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
• Tuesday Night-Showers. Lows in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Wednesday-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 40s. West winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
• Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly clear. Cooler with lows in the upper 20s.
• Thursday-Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s.
• Thursday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 20s.
