Somers To Hold Blood Drive In The New Year

Donors must be between 16 and 74 years of age.

SOMERS, NY — The Town of Somers is holding a blood drive in the New Year. In an email from the town, officials said the New York Blood Center is in critical need of blood donations.

The current state of the blood supply is not optimal, and the center is falling short of the blood inventory that is forecast for the hospitals it serves.

The blood drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Somers Town House (Elephant Hotel). 335 Route 202 in Somers.
