Somers Man Sentenced For Child Porn Possession, Promotion

Authorities said explicit images of a female child about 4 to 6 years old were found downloaded on Gagliardi's home computer.

SOMERS, NY — A northern Westchester man was sentenced for having child porn. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Thursday Michael Gagliardi, 58, of Somers, was sentenced in Westchester County Court.

He was sentenced to 10 years sex offender probation on each of these charges:

  • Promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony
  • Possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony

The sentences will run concurrently. Gagliardi will have to register as a sex offender under New York's Sex Offender Registration Act.

In July 2019, the district attorney's office received notification from another law enforcement agency that a resident at a Somers address downloaded pornographic images of children. Gagliardi lived at that address, prosecutors said.

Following search warrants served by the DA's criminal investigators, explicit images of a female child victim about 4 to 6 years old were found downloaded on Gagliardi's home computer. The images were downloaded Feb. 27, 2019.
