Stolen Wallet Leads To Felony Charge For Yorktown Man

He voluntarily appeared at police headquarters where he was arrested.

YORKTOWN, NY — A stolen wallet has lead to a felony charge for a Yorktown man. Police said Andrew Eidelson, 28, of Pine Brook Road, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Around 10 a.m. April 9, police received a call from an Evergreen Street resident saying his wallet which contained a debit card and cash was stolen.

Police investigated the report and found Eidelson allegedly had the stolen wallet.

He vountarily appeared at police headquarters and was placed under arrest.

Eidelson was processed and arraigned on the charge and bail was set at $2,500 cash or bond.

A temporary order of protection was issued against the defendant on behalf of the victim.

Eidelson was released after cash bail was posted by a family member.

He is scheduled to next appear in Yorktown Town Court April 11.
