Storm Causes Power Outages Friday In Hudson Valley

Hardest hit is Dutchess County.

A fast moving thunderstorm with heavy rain and strong winds has caused power outages in the Hudson Valley. Hardest hit so far is Dutchess County with more than 16,000 Central Hudson customers without electricity and more that 2,500 NYSEG customers without power.

In Ulster County, more than 900 Central Hudson customers don’t have power.

About 300 Con Edison and NYSEG customers in Westchester are waiting for the electricity to be turned back on.
