Swerving In Traffic Yields DWI Charges In Yorktown: Police
An additional charge was the result of a breath test at police headquarters.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mahopac woman faces multiple charges after being arrested in Yorktown while driving drunk, police said. Yorktown police charges Iris V. Guzman-Orellana, 26, of Long Pond Road in Mahopac, with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with blood-alcohol content 0.08 percent or more, misdemeanors, and speed in zone, fail to signal lane change and fail to maintain lane, traffic infractions.
An officer on routine patrol Oct. 31, around 9:20 a.m., on Route 6 in the area of Mill Street, said he saw a vehicle swerving in and out of travel lanes.
The officer also said the car was speeding and there was no turn signal.

The car was stopped and a field sobriety test was administered on Guzman-Orellana, finding that she had been driving while intoxicated, police said.
She was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters where she was processed on the charges. The DWI BAC 0.08 percent charge was added as a result of a breath test, police said.

Guzman-Orellana was arraigned and bail was set at $1,000.
She was bailed out by a family member and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 14.
