Yorktown's Work Week Weather: Temps Below Normal

SOMERS, NY — Unsettled weather will continue this week. So will below-normal temperatures. Tuesday, in fact, should be well below normal, the National Weather Service predicts.

The storm system hovering over the Hudson Valley Monday is expected to depart, but then another one is forecasted to sweep in.

"Bouts of showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to plague those with outdoor plans daily through at least Thursday in the eastern Great Lakes, mid-Atlantic and parts of the Northeast," said Kristina Pydynowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.

Here's the NWS prediction for the work week in northern Westchester:

A slight chance of thunderstorms this morning. Cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs in the upper 60s. Northeast winds around 5 mph, becoming east this afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight
Cloudy. A chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms in the evening, then a chance of showers with patchy drizzle after midnight. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tuesday
Cloudy. Patchy fog in the morning. A chance of showers with patchy drizzle in the morning, then a chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
