Trader Joe's Top Pick For New Yorktown Business
Patch asked the people in Yorktown what new business they would want to see come to town.
YORKTOWN, NY — With news of the first Lowe’s home improvement store coming to northern Westchester County — making it only the second Lowe’s in the county — Patch wondered what other stores or businesses members of the community would want to see come to Yorktown.
A full 25 percent of the almost 70 suggestions made on Facebook in an unscientific survey were for a Trader Joe’s to set up shop in Yorktown.
The closest Trader Joe’s to Yorktown in Westchester County is in Hartsdale, but there are two in Connecticut that are little closer: Danbury and Stamford.

Also popular choices for Yorktown were Target and Whole Foods.
Christmas Tree Shops and Wegman’s, the latter of which is coming to Harrison, got multiple votes.

Receiving two votes each were Chipotle, a craft store, a restaurant other than fast food and Chopt.
