Troop K Promotes Two Troopers at Somers

Officials at Troop K announced eight promotions, including two state police officers serving in Somers.

“The New York State Police has a history of producing superior law enforcement professionals who uphold the traditional values instilled in all members since the inception of the State Police in 1917,” officials said in a press release. “Troop K recounts that tradition by honoring members’ hard work and commitment to the people of New York State.”

• Trooper Mark Buglione, a 6-year veteran of the State Police, will be promoted to Investigator effective September 11, 2014. As an investigator, Trooper Buglione will continue to serve Troop K at SP Somers.
• Trooper Richard A. Miller entered the Division of State Police in April of 2003. Trooper Miller is currently stationed at SP Mohegan Lake. Trooper Miller will be promoted to the rank of Investigator on September 11, 2014 and will serve SP Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
