The watch, which was issued shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, means tropical-storm-force winds are possible somewhere within this area within the next 48 hours.
The weather service specifically mentioned Tarrytown, Croton-on-Hudson and Yorktown Heights as being locations affected by the watch.

Below tropical-storm-force winds are in the forecast as of now: 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.
There is a potential for winds of 58 to 73 mph.
