White Plains Man Arrested On Felony Weapon Charge

Police said he was playing with a knife in a restaurant.

YORKTOWN, NY — A previous conviction led to an escalation of a weapons charge for a White Plains man. Yorktown Police said Ryan McCullough, 23, of East Post Road in White Plains, was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

On Feb. 11, around 4:55 p.m., police were dispatched to Panera Bread restaurant at 6 Triangle Center in Yorktown Heights for a report of a someone playing with a knife.

When they arrived, police found that McCullough had a gravity knife in plain view of customers.

Police also found that McCullough had a previous conviction of a crime that elevated the charge to a felony.

He was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters.

McCullough was arraigned and bail or bond was set at $15,000.

Because he was unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 15.
