Woman Accused Of Shoplifting At Macy's
Police said she hid merchandise in her purse and a store bag.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 70-year-old White Plains woman was accused of shoplifting from Macy's in the Jefferson Valley Mall. Yorktown police charged Victoria E. Pinto, 70, of White Plains, with petit larcency, a misdemeanor.
Police said that, on March 18, an officer was sent to investigate a report of a shoplifter in custody at Macy's. The officer said Pinto went into the store at 5 p.m. and hid merchandise valued at $219.51 in her purse and a Macy's bag.
Police said she passed all points of purchase and left the store without paying for the merchandise.

Pinto was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters for processing.
She was released on her own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court April 18.
