Yonkers Man Accused Of Stealing From CVS In 2018

Police eventually caught up with the man while he was being held by another municipality.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Westchester County man was accused of stealing almost $3,000 from CVS last year. Yorktown police said Anthony Henry, 23, of Yonkers, was arrested on a warrant issued for grand larceny, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Police said, on Sept. 22, 2018, and Sept. 29, 2018, a detective was assigned to investigate two separate larcenies that occurred at CVS on Commerce Street.

The investigation found that on the earlier date Henry stole $2,085.31 worth of merchandise and on the latter store $965.95 worth of merchandise, police said.

The detective said he made several attempts to contact Henry, but he was uncooperative.

A warrant was applied for and issued by the Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 6 for his arrest.

Two Yorktown police officers responded to the Dobbs Ferry Police Department Sept. 6 where Henry was being held.

He was placed under arrest and taken back to Yorktown police headquarters for processing.

Henry was arraigned on the charges and was sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.

He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Sept. 10.
